Truth be told, we loved being hometown hosts at “Leather Bash“, the 2012 Mr. & Ms Georgia Leather, International Transgender Leather Contest last weekend here in the Atl. We had a blast at the Bash, meeting and greeting folks all weekend at The Atlanta Eagle, but inevitably it’s time to hit the road again.
You may know Saturday night (09/29) is a full moon, but did you know it’s the 2012 Harvest Moon? Harvest Moon is: (a) a classic album by Neil Young, (b) a cool drive-in theater in Indiana, and (c) the full moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox – which sounds kinds of important but just means that you’ll see the full moon rising immediately after sunset, with no delay between the two. The word see is important there, because in Dallas, TX the moon will rise at 6:20 pm, but we won’t actually see it until the sun sets almost an hour later, at 7:15 p.m. Wait, did I say “we”? Yes Sir, indeed I did, because we’re going to be…yond Vanilla!
Beyond Vanilla XXII. is in Dallas, TX this weekend, September 28 – 30, 2012. Beyond Vanilla has a new host hotel, The Crowne Plaza Downtown Dallas, and a weekend full of entertainment, seminars, and events. The vending market is Friday, 3pm to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 6:30pm and Sunday: 11am to 5pm, and is open to the public all three days. We’d love to see you there- if you’re anywhere in the Dallas area, make a point of stopping by the vending market (and checking out the rest of the event- and the attendees, too!). And remember to howl at the moon- it’ll be full at 10:20 p.m.!
And just before Halloween arrives, we’ll be in the student union for Kinky Kollege’s 2012 session in Chicago Illinois– from October 26 to 28, 2012. Kinky Kollege is an education-intensive event with a long history, so if there’s something you’d like to learn or skills you’d like to perfect, check them out.
New news! Look for us at Brimstone III, “Parkway to Hell”, November 25 to 27 in Asbury Park, N.J.! This is a new addition to our calendar, but check back next week for more information about this Thanksgiving weekend run- although we do know that vending market passes will not be available, but day passes for the event are available, so if you’d like to come by and see us, check out their website for registration information in advance.
(Events typically carry registration fees of course, but most welcome visitors and frequently offer free entry to their vendor’s markets. For market open hours, any entry requirements (I.D., fees, attire), or for more information about the events themselves click the links below to check out their web site.)
Now you know where we’re gonna go, so we hope to see you there, too- and hey, if do you see us first, just bark! Then it’s back to our home kennel, in time (we hope) for some Tricks (sit! shake!) and Treats (roll over!)… if we’ve been good pups, of course!
