March roars in…

like a lion, they say. We’d like to think it’s more like a big dog, but either way it has indeed blown in, and blown us east and west at the same time!

South Plains Leatherfest, Dallas TX
This weekend, March 8th to 10th, finds Pup Tory heading west to Dallas, TX for the South Plains Leatherfest-International Master/slave Weekend 2013. The event’s home is at the “Park Inn by Radisson Dallas-Love Field“, and the weekend schedule is packed with workshops and events, and the vending area is open Friday 12 – 6:00pm, on Saturday from 9:00am – 6:00pm and on Sunday from Noon until 5:00pm (and don’t forget the time change Sunday morning: “Spring forward”!). And of course, Saturday night is the International Master/slave Contest!

The March winds have meanwhile blown Sir Ray in the completely opposite direction- He’s gone east, to Savannah, GA for the Coastal Empire Sentinels‘ run weekend! Well, almost Savannah; their weekend “Renewal of Honor” is being held Friday through Sunday at Roy’s Hideaway, the campground in Collins, GA. and features the return of the Southern Coastal States Mr/Ms/boy contests! Disbanded in 2001 and re-formed in 2011, the Coastal Empire Sentinels are back in a big way, and we’re proud to be along for the ride! (Heck, i attended their run in ’96 or ’97, and they’re a great group!)

So that’s it for the moment- check back with us, our calendar is getting busier and busier, and we’ll be posting photos from these runs, too! Oh, and pics of some new merchandise we’ve developed- you’re gonna love these items!! OH YEAH- have you checked out our main site recently? It’s just been completely updated, and everything on the site can be purchased on-line now- we offer totally secure ordering through PayPal.

So, now that’s it for the moment, but check back soon- there’s a whole lot more on the way!

M.A.L., baby!!

So, uhm, Merry Christmas… and Happy New Year! Were they good? We certainly do hope so! Yeah!

er, yeah… Sorry ’bout that. We’ve been kinda busy with the holidays and making new stock and all, and, well, this ‘blog’ thing kind of got lost in the shuffle. As my learned friend would say: “Rut-ro, Raggy!” But that was then, and this is now, and now is… Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend in Washington D.C., and by “now” we really mean NOW- January 11 – 14, 2013. If it seems a bit early, it’s because it is- one weekend earlier than usual (to stay out of the way of the Inauguration events).

Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend // Washington D.C. // January 11-14, 2013

Regrettably Pup Tory can’t be back at M.A.L. this year – a loved one needs him here in Atlanta right now – but Sir Ray will be manning the Barking Leather booth in his stead (and He speaks German!) with our long-time friend, and long-term (and quite active <g>) member of the community, J.D. – if you’ve spend much time in and around Atlanta, especially out and about in Atlanta, you may well know him. If not, there’s no better time for a “Howdy”!

And Santa did come, but the gifts he left are for you- we have new stock, and you’re gonna love it! Alongside our hand-crafted leather goods – whips, floggers, restraints, etc. – we are proud to announce the addition of top of the line Violet Wands and TENS Units! Yeah, baby! Why did we wait a year to add these to our product line? Simple- it took us a year to find products that we are willing to sell! Cheap, knock-off imports can be found on eBay and elsewhere, but these? These are top of the line- solid, reliable, and we have a full range of accessories, too!

Of course, the biggest difference between buying from some anonymous online auction and Barking Leather is: you know exactly what you’re getting BEFORE you get it! Come by the booth, pick one up, try them out… find out for yourself. (And heck, if you get close enough to the booth you’ll probably find out for yourself anyway- Sir Ray loves Him those Violet Wands, y’all, i’m just sayin’….)

So that’s it for now from here at the kennel. If you’re in D.C. this weekend, be sure you come by M.A.L. and say “Hi” to Sir Ray and “Howdy” to J.D., and if you’re not in the D.C. area? Stay tuned- we’ve got events booked throughout the year, and more we’re working on scheduling even as i type, and you’ll hear all about them right here….

-Arf!

Cincinnati, Ohio – Now!

A good time was had by all at Kinky Kollege’s 2012 session in Chicago Illinois, but unfortunately we brought the cold weather home to Georgia with us. On the plus side, the weather here was nothing compared to Chicago’s after we left- and we missed pretty much all of the hurricane, thankfully!

And now, from the “better late than never” column

Our booth is set up and we're ready to go for Tri-State Leather 2012 in Cincannati!!

Hey, we’re in Cincinnati Ohio this weekend! Surprise! Yeah, sorry about the late notice (don’t blame pup tory or Sir Ray if you see ’em at the show), but if you’re in the Tri-State area, come and down and see us today (Friday 11/09/12) or tomorrow at Tri-State Leather 2012! That’s our booth in the photo — as you can see, we’re fully stocked and raring to go, so come on down! And yes, you read it right- this is a short, 2 day vending opportunity so be sure to come by this evening or Saturday!

We were terribly relieved to hear that Asbury Park, or at least the part of Asbury Park playing host to Brimstone, survived Hurricane Sandy in OK shape. It’s a miracle, really, given the widespread and horrendous destruction the storm left elsewhere in New Jersey and New York. Nonetheless, we’re glad to say that we will be giving thanks at Brimstone III, “Parkway to Hell”, November 25 to 27 in Asbury Park, N.J.! \Vending market passes will not be available for Brimstone, but day passes for the event are – or were –  available, so if you’d like to come by and see us in N.J. check out their website for registration information in advance.

UPDATE: According to their web site, Brimstone III is sold out! We’re not sure if that includes day passes or not, so please check in with them before dropping in to visit!

(Events typically carry registration fees of course, but most welcome visitors and frequently offer free entry to their vendor’s markets. For market open hours, any entry requirements (I.D., fees, attire), or for more information about the events themselves click the links below to check out their web site.)

That’s where we’ve been, and where we’re going, and we hope to see you there, too- and hey, if do you see us first, just bark!
